Overeating Checklist
If you are about to overeat, stop for a moment
and ask yourself if it's worth it. Will you
actually feel better, or will you feel guilty
or remorseful for having abused yourself?
Do you want to be bad to yourself? If so,
then ask yourself why. Think about it for
several minutes.
What could you do instead? Read a book
or visit a new Internet site. Go for a walk
or exercise. Take a bath. Call a friend
and tell them what is wrong. Attend to some
work you have been putting off.
Try to eat something fattening to pacify
your cravings… like a piece of cheese,
tuna fish or some olives. If you must binge,
try a more harmless substance, like apples,
grapes, or carrots. If you drink a lot of
water along with it, it will help fill you
up.
If that doesn't work, if you must eat a
ton of ice cream or fried stuff, cakes,
shakes or whatever, then don't think it's
the end of the world.
