Sandwiches Made Healthier
To make a sandwich even healthier:
- Switch to sprouted, reduced salt wholemeal
or wholegrain bread.
- Limit your use of spreads high in trans
fat like margarine; replace with scrapings
of peanut butter or other nut spreads
or avocado.
- Double the vegetable amount that generally
comes on one.
- Try a roasted vegetables and adding
it to the sandwich.
Choose healthy fat ingredients when you
can, such as raw cheese or canola mayonnaise.
